Disney infinity guide download
updated Oct 3, 2014
The PC version of Disney Infinity behaves in a similar way to the console versions, except that there is no physical base included. Features are instead unlocked via an online store. This creates the following differences:
- The PC version is Free To Play with Mr Incredible in The Incredibles Play Set and the Toy Box, with a limited selection of toys. In version 2.0, you can play the introductory mission of the Avengers playset as well.
- The PC version appears to dynamically load content from the internet as it runs, meaning that the first time accessing a Play Set or Toy Box World can be very slow.
- Characters can be unlocked by typing the "web code" on the card provided with the physical figure into the Disney website. You can also purchase purely digital figures from the "PC shop" on the website. Digital figures cannot be used on console versions. Regardless of how the figure was added, character levels are not stored based on the physical figure but based on the character and your Disney account, and are separate from those used on consoles.

- Power Discs are obtained digitally in full sets from the PC shop. You cannot use physical power discs on the PC version, and you cannot use the PC version's digital power discs on console versions.
- In Version 1.0 on PC, circular power discs (power-ups) are not supported. In Version 2.0, they are supported but they behave differently to the console versions: they are paid for with sparks, are activated on demand by pressing a key (rather than automatically activating at regular intervals) and disappear after being activated once.
- Play Sets are obtained digitally from the PC shop, with the exception of The Incredibles playset which is automatically unlocked free. You cannot use physical play set pieces on the PC version, and you cannot use the PC version's digital play set unlocks on console versions. The code from the 1.0 starter pack unlocks Captain Jack Sparrow, Sully and Mr Incredible but not the Monsters University or Pirates of the Caribbean playsets.
- In Version 2.0, all of the three play sets must be purchased. As on the console versions, having a 1.0 playset enables the toys from that playset but does not allow the playset to be played.
- In v1.0, Toys are unlocked only by buying the Ultimate Toy Box Experience package, or completing Feats or Playsets. Levelling up figures does not access the Toy Spinner or unlock toys. Toys unlocked on console versions do not appear to be made available on the PC version.
- In v2.0, Toys are unlocked via purchase with sparks in the same way as on console versions. As long as you use a Disney account, toys unlocked are shared between platforms.
- The Hall of Heroes always shows all figures present, even those which are not unlocked.
- The Disney Infinity Base piece in Toy Box can be placed, but the portals on it do not work.
- In v1.0, the Toy Box Editor uses the mouse and keyboard only. The Magic Wand is not available, but all of its functions are duplicated in the mouse and keyboard editor. In v2.0, the editor can use the mouse and keyboard or a controller.
- In v2.0, Sparks can be purchased with real money. The PC version does not appear to be significantly less generous with blue sparks than any other version, but this offers an alternative to purchasing a playset.
